BUFFY IN THE LIGHTHOUSE

On Sunday the 25th i had sucha cool day . I got to spend the entire day with my boyfriend and head out for a couple of drinks and a movie due to having the bank holiday Monday off . I love me a long weekend but like they say , best not get to use to it before its taken away. Seems as Halloween is gathering pace and almost upon us , my favourite cinema is holding a Horror and vampire season. I was absolutely delighted to see that they were showing the original 'Buffy the vampire slayer' movie. My boyfriend on the other hand ..... not so happy haha. The movie was at half 10 (night time) so we decided why not have a few drinks . I headed to Oscars in Smithfield , seriously sucha cool vibe in there,  and had a drink or tWo. Getting to see this actual movie was like a childhood dream come true. Like i said in previous blog post recently I've become re-obsessed with the classic TV show and this in the cinema was the cherry on top. 

Right , now onto the outfit . Such a super casual outfit from me guys , but i feel it still looks super cool and fashionable. Buffy leather had to be thrown in the mix also .

Hat : I 100% cannot for the life of me remember where i got this , i just know i got it a couple of weeks ago and by weeks i mean months haha. Black was sucha good choice for this type of beanie and its suited to most of my outfits. I pretty sure i got it for like 20e or 20 dollars , sucha a bargain. Defo a staple piece for every winters wardrobe for years to come.

Jumper : This as well i got a few weeks ago . I had the perfect pair of culottes to wear with it but its just gotten far to cold here in ireland to even think about doing that sort of look. Instead i held out until i found the perfect combo to fullfil this look i had in me head . This jumper was priced at 28e in the reliable Nine Crows. This is the epitome of what my winter wardrobe will prob consist of AND WHY NOT??? They are super comfy and super stylish in my book , if not in your book ..... well then FUCK YOUR BOOK HAHAH.

Trousers : Right hello holy grey grail of trouser land . These are fucking grey perfection. I have been on the hunt for fitted grey trousers that were complimentary to my figure and fitted on the leg . In i stroll to Forever 21 and was slapped in the face with these beauts and at a price point of 16e what girl could've passed . As soon as i got them i instantly thought of this entire outfit and how winter appropriate it is .

Like i said already i went to see Buffy in the Lighthouse cinema and it was truly a great experience something like that . Getting to see a movie you loved as a child in the cinema is amazing. The night was even made better by the chill time i had in Oscars before hand . I recommend anyone looking for somewhere with nice cocktails and a chill, laid back vibe to defo check out Oscars.

SHEER GOTHIC

OK this is just gonna be a quick OOTD post guys . I was suppose to be going to the UFC fight night here in Dublin but due to change in main card, got money back instead. It was a huge let down if I'm been honest but the price paid for the ticket wasn't worth the fight that took over the main card. Instead met my boyfriend in town ..... well at the infamous Christchurch and decided to take pics here. We just went and had a Starbucks, looked around a few places and then shopping ...... my favourite activity.

I picked up a few bits that I'll show you guys later in this post. Right now I'm just gonna take you through my outfit choice and prices.

Leather Coat : Right so recently I've become slightly obsessed with 90s ugly kinda fashion and i couldn't help but want this style of leather jacket. I was having and absolute shite week of a week as a dress i ordered from nine crows turned out to have been sold before i purchased. This style coat was my mission on the day the sold out dress thing happened me & i couldn't help but be pessimistic. But this purchase came so easy . When i thought of where id get this i thought of one place and one place only .... Lucy's Lounge in Temple Bar. Walked down stairs, to the leather jackets bit and boom it was there. Immediately had to have. Its a serious nod towards the 90s and the style i was looking to recreate due to a show i had started to re watch, but more about that later.

Sheer shirt : Nine crows are fulfilling all my wishes at the moment. In the pass week they have had 25% off everything and then 40%. This was originally 32e and due to 40% off i got it for 19.60e . Id actually say they are sick of looking at my face at this point haha. Again this is another nod to the 90s when everything sheer was all the rage. 

Bag charm : These things are actually HUGE right now and i just couldn't help but want this one. I found it on Ebay for like 3e i think and it was a two click pay pal situation haha. The fact its huge and looks like a tail really attracted me to it . The ones in the high street shops right now are really over priced and don't look their value at all. This one off ebay was a huge surprise to me because of the size and quality. I literally recommend ebay 100% when looking for stuff like this that's not in the shops or on everyone walking the street.

JAMES BAY : OLYMPIA

This past Thursday i went to see the marvellous James Bay. I seen him in the best venue by far in Dublin, The Olympia. This seems to be the venue that up and coming musicians play before the hit the big time. Its sucha great venue and so intimate a setting that it suits performers such as James Bay or Jake Bugg.

The gig was frickin amazing and completely different to how i imagined it. I had it in my head that James Bay was the quiet and reserved kinda of artist but far from it seems. He was truly outstanding and his hat was perfection. Truly one of the best gigs Ive been to. I had an unreal time.

Now onto the outfit..... I was sooo torn as to whether to wear a hat in support of James Bay . I decided against as there was no way id look half as well as he did in one haha. I choose a simple outfit juts purely for the comfort factor :)

Pinafore : I got this in the topshop sale . Its not topshop, its Loving Youth. This was reduced to 14e. This one isn't my first cord pinafore from loving youth, i purchased a red one last year for Christmas time and never wore. Due to the fact I'm liking darker tones this year i wore this instantly. This is such a versatile piece as it can go from day to night , depending on the person wearing it. 

Scarf : Like every year at this time i become obsessed with everything tartan or plaid. This ,i purchased last year in topshop , it was around 28e-32e and one of my more pricey tartan scarfs. I usually buy my tartan scarfs outta vintage shops as they are great quality and sooo much cheaper . I fell in love with this due to the autumnal colours and its large size. Its starting to get a bit breezy here in Dublin so scarfs were essential on Thursday night haha.

Runners : Ok I'm a bit late to this sneaker trend but id prefer it that way anyways. I usually don't follow the 'whats considered cool by the huns' trend , but i loved the vintage vibes given when wearing superstars . I bought these Thursday before the gig and got the for 58e because i bought in the kids section . YAY SMALL FEET. The fact that they are big fit and i coulda bought a size smaller was unknown to me . I bought my usual size and as expected they are a tiny bit big but still wearable. These will defo be getting woren to death as the are super comfy and i went for the all black  just to suit most of my wardrobe . See i don't always think ahead but when i do its a good time :)

WECOME TO JO' BURGER

So if you have read my blog before you'll see I'm a big food enthusiast and like to try many new cool places. This week i went for food with the boyfriend on Thursday. Ive wanted to try JO'BURGER for sooo long now and i finally took the plunge. I went to the one in Smithfield , just due to the fact it was closer to home. Straight off the bat i was in love with the place , majorly quirky and exactly what i like . The tables were similar to picnic benches and the knives and forks were held in old food tins. I'm sucha a plain eater and hate anything on my burgers other than the meat and the bun . Usually i get a bit of bad reaction in places cause of this but here it was taken as a pretty normal request, made me feel super comfortable. I defo recommend this place highly as the chips and homemade lemonade was to die for :) :)

Now onto what i wore , these photos i have aren't the best of quality at all due to the darkness when they were taken. I thought fuck it and i'll blog anyways . See I'm on a roll and don't wanna stop while I'm ahead . This outfit consisted of shorts ...... do not judge me . I no its cold out but if i didn't wear now i wouldn't get to wear until next year :) This again is another OOTD/OOTN blog posts so i hope you guys don't mind. I am hoping to do a hual post soon if i have the time.

OKTOBERFEST

This Saturday as usual had date day with the boyfriend. Most of the time if we have Saturday's off we spend then together and try go on some new adventures, go see a movie , shop or try new food places ( my fave even doh I'm a plain Jane.) This weekend was the last of Oktoberfest and i thought it was time for me to try it . Last year i was gonna go and see what all the hype was about but someone told me all you can drink is beer at it . Last year as i drank more than i do now it kinda put me off and i never went as i dislike beer. This time round i wasn't letting anything stop me cause i heard they had a Haribo stall , ain't no coming between me and jellies haha. 

Like i stated above i went on Saturday, i went at about 3,o,clock to avoid all the ques i had been hearing about . My hopes were so high and then i got there. I walked in and all was not as described . I was expecting HUGE amounts of food, gift, haribo & beer stalls. I was left disappointed as i can honestly say there was only about 10 - 15 stalls in total . We headed down to the 'DRINKIN' area where supposedly a German band was playing cringey chart music and ........nothing . I dunno whether i went at the wrong time but i was left disappointed and headed straight back up to the Haribo stand . I bought 7e worth of jellies, do not judge me.... I'm a jelly fiend, took a few blog pics and the fled .

I got my boyfriend to take so blog pics as my outfit was sooo good . I'm not toothing my own horn here, its just i finally found the black trousers that dreams are made of and i thought best make a memory of these bad boys hahah. Also i needed to blog my new faux fur coat as well . This is defo pure perfection so i defo needed pics taken. The day wasn't all shit , we went to Smokin' Bones and i ate so much that my trousers didn't fit comfortably anymore.

Time to get onto the more important part ..... the pics !!!!

Coat : I'm i was actually breathless when i seen this monster . I say monster only cause it reminds me of a big huge fluffy monster who likes cuddles off humans . Its true what they say .... 'good things come to those who wait,' been honest i feel like Ive waited a whole life for this . The colour, shape and fur type is fur perfection . Would you believe i got this in Forever 21 at the great priced of 55e .

Tshirt : This i bought last year on ebay for like 8e i think . I bought it as a full tshirt which did nothing for my body or style type. I cut it into a crop top meself and instantly knew it would defo get a wear now . When trying to pick an outfit for this thing, it came to mind that this would be perfect but also basic enough that it didnt take from the trouser. I know some people might think its a bit offensive as it has a pair of tits on it , but sure look thats life .

Trousers : Ring the bell ..... i finally found the most perfect black trousers EVER. I seen these on Topshop , Jervis St insta and knew i had to have them . The are a huge nod to that whole 70's revival and i felt super 70's due to the fact i was wearing a statement hat as well. These trousers were 52e but seriously worth every euro spent on them . I'm not huge into repeating items on me blog but these will defo get a repeat.

THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST

On Sunday, i took a trip into town to meet the boyfriend for dinner and a walk about . I walked to town in my topshop boots , which i have blogged about previously. Oh my lord they bloody killed me ! I do recommend the purchase by not the long haul walks haha. We went and had food in Eddie Rockets and then went to Stephen's Green park to take blog pics for this post.

This outfit , i really loved and wanted to capture the grungey vibe of the tshirt and jacket. This is one of the fair few blogs in which i don't feature a HAT. Hope you all like me without hats and don't unfollow just cause of that one time i didn't wear a hat ahhaha. I promise they will be back as Ive purchased a brand spanking new one :) :) I feel super awkward/ugly without hats been honest so please don't judge haha.

This is just a quick outfit of the day type of blog but defo have upped me game. Pics & outfit is looking far better than before and I'm finally feeling myself again after a big amount of troubles i had going on in my life . But one must not dwell on things and continue with things they love, so here we go.........

Tshirt : This i bought in Topshop in New York. I've blogged about it before but i finally got around to wearing it . I absolutely love the woren aspect of the top and the fact its Iron Maiden. I was something like $25 which was a bargain considering i was lusting for it months beforehand. This kind of band tee is great for achieving that grungey but clean ''Like im into rock bands but im not into been dirty'' look. 

Trousers : These i bought at the height of culotte season last year. I got them on ebay for like 15e but i never wore until Sunday , true jen style if I'm being honest. I'm the type that lusts after things, gets them and then don't wear them for ages , to the point they don't feel new anymore and just don't bother . But these just fit so fucking perfectly with the style of outfit i wanted to create. I feel like the dash of grey makes the look and I'm delighted Ive never thrown them out :) :) These type of trousers are soooo versatile. They can be woren  from day to night with runners or heels , watever you poison:)

Backpack : I got this is Penney's like 2yrs ago for 10e. They get these style of backpacks almost every summer season . They come in soooooo handy . I recently started using this again as i was using my expensive Louis Vuitton backpack and it was getting ruined . So i thought time to pull out the old reliable. To make it a little more me i decided to stick my 1.50e (ebay) fur bobble on & boom ....... funky new backpack.
